Abstract Artist.

Valarie Widmayer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from Cedar Crest College, Allentown, Pennsylvania (1995). Her early career brought her to Crayola, where she worked in Art Education and developed after-school art programs — nurturing a love of creative learning in others even as she continued her own practice.

In 2001, Valarie relocated to Colorado, where she raised two daughters and built a life rooted in the beauty of the mountain West. Over the past several years she has returned fully to the canvas, rebuilding her portfolio and earning recognition in juried exhibitions at galleries across Colorado and California, as well as national online publications.

Her work — richly layered oil and mixed media paintings — reflects both the emotional interior life of its maker and the expansive natural landscapes of her adopted home.
